Needs three more hops. More hops better good good or something like that.

Needs more fruit and a bit too bitter for the abv, imo.

It was bottled at the end of December, so may be falling off some. It was in that 14.99 12 pack IPA sampler.

Contemplating how much grain I can get in a 10gal orange igloo cooler. Think I can get 25#?

Oh, and SWMBO just texted me that the kitchen sink faucet is leaking. I am at a MS play with the youngest. Told her where the Teflon tape was, she responded that I will have time to deal with it between when I get home and dinner.

I love Keystone! Stop where you are pretty often. That BBQ place is the bomb. The snow maker I hit is on bottom of the blue run leading to that spot. That black to your left under the lift not pictured is legit too. Cheers Mike! :mug:

Yeah, the beach is awesome. Ski 2-3 runs, grab a beer, ski 2 more, grab another. Recycled pic

Just fixed the basement toilet valve.

Now the side door handle is broken. Someone doesn't want me to have a beer.

22# with 6gals water..

Shouldn't be an issue. You might have to mash a little thick, but I've done close to 50 in a 17.5 gallon Coleman Xtreme.

Drinking some juice.

Thanks! Completely forgot about the will it mash calculator. Will play with it again and go from there. Flaked wheat might change the calculation, as I think it is a bigger volume per pound than barley.

Urm... Doesn't beer make fixing things better? Screwdriver in one hand, beer in the other?

I prefer to think of it as Ninkasi ensuring you'll really appreciate the beer when you have it.

It may not be a billion dollars but if you're not in you can't win.

My meager offering to the NHC. Best of luck to all in the thread entering.

Will, in all likelihood have 3 spares for a share

I feel like such a slacker since I haven't even brewed 3 of my entries. Going to get those in this week. Good thing they're all styles that I want to be really fresh.

Racked a gallon of jack-leg version of JOAM. (I didn't keep my usual notes this time around, but I was short on honey and added some brown sugar and/or molasses...can't remember exactly.) Added back about 12 oz honey, dissolved in heated Culligan water for a top-off. I'm assuming fermentation will kick back up and then clear. I didn't take a gravity reading, so I really don't know where the alcohol will wind up. Won't exactly be JOAM, but I think it will be an interesting drink.

Bet you use a lot of White Wheat though, Heinrich.

I just think brown in a descriptive is off-putting. I like brown ales though. Just think there's plenty of nicer ways to describe a color/aroma/flavor than brown. It's sort of the maximal entropy color when it comes to crayons and playdoh.

Mahogany malt would be so much more inviting.

Never used white wheat. Only ever used the nominally red variety.

Good luck, still haven't received my confirmation email :(

I'd give them a call/shoot them an email. I'm sure it's an oversight. I initially entered 3, got an email to confirm I wasn't a bot and edited it to 1. I confirmed my entry and paid without ever receiving my confirmation email having to change my password in the process. Did you receive the confirm you're not a bot email?

I later saw the confirm email.

Guinness yum, cigar pass. Didn't have you pegged as a cigar smoker. Not sure why I would have pegged you one way or another. Funny how we create mental images of cyber folks on a forum like this.

LOL the skid mark pic. That bears all the consistent features. Have you done a smell test yet? Probably too lazy.
