Witbier. Snow still coming down like mad.

Should pull something out of the cellar tonight. Not sure what.

Do it. Hell it is your birthday so go for it.

I knew the snow was coming so I knew I would need massive beers for post shoveling comfort. So I put some big boy Belgians in the fridge a couple of days ago. They should do the trick.

Water, run soon since the rain stopped. Didn't have a single beer last night because my stomach wasn't happy. Gotta make up for it tonight.

But but but but I have a perfect 4 cases (some bombers, some 750s, some 12 oz, etc) of commercial cellared beer. Such a round number that I'd hate to disrupt it. I suppose I do have that 2001 Liefmans Kriek. But I'm hesitant to pop that one.

Or I've got the commercial stuff that Mark sent me. *********. I can't make up my mind. I put the last of my HB '13 Tripel in the fridge. I could just kill the rest of that ;)

Hows your nicely shoveled driveway looking? Coming down as hard as it has all day at the moment, crazy.

Never seemed to get the whole thing clean. As fast as I shoveled it would get covered again. Went out about every hor or two all day.

I have had enough. It is still coming down pretty hard. So I just said F it and am drinking beer now.......

Dump one into other. Problem solved.

Took my 5yo daughter to her first brewery today. They treated her like a queen. 20% of all sales go to Flint today, so wanted to make the trip. Anyone who makes it here, Blank Slate is the best brewery in town.

Flint Michigan is on my bucket
List of places to visit, right after Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, east St. Louis, I work in new haven so I can cross that one off the list....[emoji51]

Just drink them in two's. You know kind of like the arc, but with beer. Problem solved.

Hmmm....I forgot I've got a Batch 004 Consecration. That might be my winner.

Or I could be boring and go with something I have duplicates. I've got a couple '13 FBS left.

Assuming the boxes are 12/case, let's just pick a number between 1 and 48.

16.

What's cooking today?

Yard bird. And beef sausage. Not sure what the sides are. (Not my department). MIL is in town so her and my wife are in charge of that. I'm hoping she makes her garlic mashed potatoes.

That's crazy how that small amount of smoked malt is filling up the house. Good luck with that just think if ends up sucking you can pawn it off on cadjockey he won't know the difference.

Hahahaha.

He's not on board with this brew at all.

Actually stirred it halfway through and it had faded considerably, hoping it gets a little more subtle after fermentation and all that. Kind of stoked.

I used 4 lbs in a 14.25 lb grain bill.

Food sounds great. I'm grilling brats and making tostones for dinner.

I have to take the thin part back. As it warmed it has a very nice almost sugary layer to it. Great beer Matt!

Cool, glad you like it. Going for the vert?

Didn't remember them being thin either, if anything the ones I've had have had a kind of chewy mouthfeel. Will have to try another vol 1 soon. Been a while, got a few left.
