My pH is usually ok as well, but ever since I started tweaking it a bit, it's been netting better efficiency and I'm liking the feel more.
I don't have a meter, fwiw. Just flying blind on Bru'n water and my water report.
Also I should add that this is all anecdotal, I don't know if mash pH and efficiency are linked that much... Just my casual observation over the last few brews where I've changed the water and nothing else.
Things like this make me really appreciate philly water. It's damn near perfect for brewing.
