Full Throttle. Happy Bday @Billy-Klubb , you've certainly aged like a fine Bud Ice.
Happy belated to you and happy current to Mr Klubb.

Lol I had no idea what that was so I googled it. Lol
The best beverage of my childhood lol. It still has a cult following
...a brewery actually made a limited run beer with a similar appearance, I just can't remember who they were
So I just saw that the Foodery is going to open a location in Phoenixville. Mixed feelings - will probably help push the craft market here, but man I really didn't want to buy that super-economy size tub of lube that's needed to pay their prices...
Sweet, glad you liked it. Was considering entering that one in an upcoming comp. thoughts?
on the cawfeh like a martha floccin' pterodactyl.
If it doesnt score as the top three sours in that comp, i would be very surprised. Id say it was a commercial quality flanders.
Welp, that settles it then
Also wondering if I should submit anything to NHC this year just for poops and laughs, since this is my first year as an AHA member...
I would certainly give that Flanders a shot. NHC is quite the step up from a regular comp so dont get discouraged if it doesnt score like you think it should. Its still a fantastic beer!

The upcoming local one is a pretty big one (Homebrew Alley in NYC). The beer that won the sour category there last year (a gueuze, but the same guys swept the category with 2 fruited lambics as well) also went on to win the sour category at the final round of NHC.
Do it! If you're not in you can't win etc.
Was that the one that one the overall best in show at NHC. Two guys sat next to a barrel were in the Zymurgy winners' issue. I think it was a Geuze. But that's a guezz.
Yep, had to go back and look it up, but that's the same one. Must have been a hell of a beer.
Sounds like years of work. Was it the result of a solera?
You think they might have smiled in the picture. I'd be grinning from ear to ear, beer in hand, donning a festive hat perhaps.
Congrats to you too having your beers faring well in comps with such powerhouses of brewing.
Whelp gents, this is happening. 2016 will bring about some big changes for me. Also have an interview for the career change tomorrow. Fingers crossed it all works out well and is worth it! :rockin:
