Well, nobody said anything about that. I only entered one beer in that one last year and it wasn't a sour.

Sorry. After reading the high praise for your beer from @finsfan , I put 2 and 2 together and came up with "I'm an arsehead".

Having some milk now.

Congrats dude and way to follow your dreams. Good luck.

Thanks man!

Need taste-testers?

That BA RIS is calling my name. Wind is out of the south today, I can almost smell it.

Surprisingly enough, just about everyone I know has already offered to volunteer for that haha. I imagine you will get a bottle.

I missed "the career change". What will the new career be? Is it beer related, hence the Siebel enrollment?

Entry level job at a brewery. Ill have more details when its set in stone. Have my first interview tomorrow but pretty confident given my previous knowledge of the brewing process.

awesome. Good luck on the interview.

Best of luck!

Thanks everyone! Very excited for this change and I seriously could not have been in the position I am now without the help I have received on HBT and most of you all on this thread as well. Cheers! :mug:

Good deal, fins. Do it now if you want to do it. I wouldn't change careers if I could, but if I wanted to do something like that now, no way could I. Too many people dependent on the security I have at this stage of the game.

Exactly why I figured I needed to do it now. I didn't want to question or "what if" down the road without ever trying. I'm 24 and have no dependents yet so now is the time to make such changes. It wont be without sacrifice though. If I land that entry level job, the pay cut is half of my current salary.

Whelp gents, this is happening. 2016 will bring about some big changes for me. Also have an interview for the career change tomorrow. Fingers crossed it all works out well and is worth it! :rockin:

Just had a great interview myself. Good luck man...as gandalf once said, may the force be ever in your favor.

Holy mother you're 24?

I've wasted my life.

I was 25 when I woke up one day and said "damn it, if I ever want to go to law school like I have always said, I better do it NOW".

Career changes at the age of 40 are a lot tougher than at the age of 20 something if you have kids and people who expect you to be an adult.

Good luck. Beer realted career change?

Edit: I see the answer now after I asked. Hope it all works out great for you.

Thanks man!

Good luck! Wonder if I will ever make that plunge

Exactly. There's a similar opportunity available here that I could jump on but... I kind of like having money. If only it happened a few years ago.

Going to the machine shop to have my compass sharpened for +2 bane dmg vs. engineers.

Thanks and congrats on your solid interview! Seems like a lot of us are making changes for the better this year.

Haha I just got really lucky I accidentally stumbled into home brewing this young. I didnt know wtf I wanted to do before that.

I dont think I would ever be foolish enough to consider myself making it through law school haha. More power to you for doing so. I would drown pretty quickly in all that legal jargon.

If anyone could make it on here, you would be up there with the best of them! Natural ability and intuition cannot be taught.

Thanks man. I'm really good friends with a local brewery here. They might get me a jumping off point. They would allow me to brew there and I just have to haul the wort to another location. Need to look into it soon lol.

Good luck dude, that's really cool!

Thanks! Really excited to learn more technical aspects of brewing.

Don't worry about being smart. Looking and feeling good goes much further. Get out your best corduroy's and do work son!

How's the mustache and/or beard coming along?

Man-bun would be a plus as well.

Also, good luck man. I couldn't survive the pay cut... kind of jealous right now.

Beard game is fairly strong right now. Havent touched it in 3-4 weeks. I should have let if go from no shave November and they would probably hire me on the spot. And thanks. Im not looking forward to the pay cut but will be able to survive for the time being.
