    Blood orange sour

I am doing a 2.5 gal kettle sour this Saturday, very basic 2 row and a dash of wheat malt. Plan is to mash, sparge, get to 100-110 degrees Freedom, and then add 3 Swanson's tabs (pantarum). Typical kettle sour. After it hits my desired sourness, which I want a lot, boil, add very few hops like...

    Small fermenter for sours

Something 3g max. I would like to avoid glass and carboys unless they have a large mouth to make cleaning easier. Also would like a conical to drop yeast and use it as a secondary. Anything coming out of China? I see SS gas a small conical but pricey. And plastic is out. Kettle sours are ok...

    Half Gratzer

Not a full gratzer as it uses pilsener, but excellent, bright, smokey. I used my own smoked wheat. Used Kveik because I had to ferment a bit warm due to my fridge being full. Batch size was 2.5 gallons, not 5 Ingredients: ------------ 1 lbs 8.0 oz Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM)...

Volume of green tea to add

Planning on adding cold brew green tea to a sour about a day before I bottle. However, I don't want to increase the volume of the beer too much. Its a 2.5 gallon batch, and I was thinking of steeping 25g of green tea in about 2 or so cups of water. But I don't know if that enough water. Any...

What would you brew to put in here?

https://www.austinhomebrew.com/American-Oak-Barrel--5-Gallon-_p_9023.html Seems like a great price. But also seems like an oak bomb of a beer on the first use. I'm thinking cheap red wine soak and then lambic, flemish, oud, sours etc. Or a big barleywine?

Used an online calculator to determine a speise volume for my hefe. Added it to the keg and sealed, set aside. All was good. Holy pressure Batman! Went to tap it last night and the beer line blew off the keg outlet. Sprayed beer all over me and my floor lol. So I bled the keg even more and...

When you make Belgians, or any beer really, and use D90, when do you like to add? In the boil? Or in the fermenter? And why? Grassy ass in advance. Cheers.
