Something 3g max. I would like to avoid glass and carboys unless they have a large mouth to make cleaning easier. Also would like a conical to drop yeast and use it as a secondary. Anything coming out of China? I see SS gas a small conical but pricey.

And plastic is out.

Kettle sours are ok but I'd like to do some 6 month sours

Plastic shouldn't be "out". Brett needs micro-oxygenation to express flavor. It's not just because of tradition or cost that all the major sour breweries ferment in oak. ;)

So cheap! You can get several of these and spend less than a stainless conical. And they're better for sours.

Keep in mind, to get a sour in 6 months you'll need a low hop rate and/or aggressive bacteria.

Cheers!

P.S. Check out the thread on modern methods for fast souring with Lacto: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/fast-souring-modern-methods.670176/
This method provides a lot more flavor than kettle souring.

P.P.S.
g = gram
gal = gallon

My aversion to plastic is about sanitation and contamination. Especially that little spigot!

Fermonsters are not difficult to clean in my opinion. PBW soak, like anything else. The spigot comes apart for cleaning and sanitizing.

Also, concern about contamination in a mixed fermentation sour is pretty much nil.

It's no different sanitizing plastic than any other material. Sanitizing scratched plastic, on the.other.hand, is tough. A small plastic fermenter wouldn't set you back much - I got mine for about $16 - so it wouldn't be tough to justify using it only for sours.
