I really like the ThermoPro when it works. The only issue I've seen is that where the probe connects to the wire isn't as waterproof as I would like. The probe slipped completely into the wort once and the reading shot up 30F. Fortunately, the probe had a lifetime warrantee. I just emailed the company and they sent me a new probe (on a slow boat from China).

What is good these days? I cant find one worth a damn.

I've been using this one for a couple years and am very happy with it. It clips onto the side of the pot and the probe is long enough to go in the wort/water. It has a temperature and timer alarm. I haven't even had to change the battery in it yet.
