Hey all. I just wanted to throw this recipe to see what you all think. I don't have any of the software to see how dark this will turn out or IBU's.

6 lb Light DME
2 oz. Chocolate Malt
2 oz. Special B
8 oz. 80L
2 oz. Roasted Barley

1 oz. Hallertau (60)
1 oz. Fuggles (15)

Nottingham (Not flexible on this. It's been so incredibly forgiving and has given me great results thus far.)

I would like to add some earthy hop flavors by adding hops at flameout or by dry hopping, but I'm not sure which variety would accomplish this for me. Also, would this give me an amber, or would this teeter toward porter territory?

Looks like it's on the darker/higherABV end of the guidelines for amber ale but still falling right in the pocket. Fuggles are pretty earthy, why not add .5 oz at flameout?

Brewed this up today with two major changes:

Hop Schedule was Hallertau for 60, Saaz for 15, Fuggles at flameout.

I went out of my comfort zone on the yeast, and decided to try out BRY-97. It appears to be very forgiving of higher ferm temps.

I'm looking forward to this one!
