Where did all the Comet hops go?

I have a recipe that is arguably my best work and the featured hop is Comet. I'm having lots of trouble finding it in Homebrew stores and my main online location hasn't had them in stock for 6 months. I'm sure they're available somewhere but I don't feel like paying $5 for 2 oz and another $7 for shipping. Has there been a drop off in popularity, or are they really that hard to grow?

definitely an under the radar hop, but morebeer always has them.

My first thought was to say that the best Comet hops only come around every 98 years...

Hops direct and yakima valley hops both have them.

What's the recipe? I've only used comet mixed with other hops and don't have a good grasp of the flavors they give
