Enjoyed a couple sticks and some bourbon at the local b&m with my brother and a couple friends, nice to relax somewhere warm and catch up with family

Hey 6midgets,
You're giving me a complex here :D . I hit the Quote button instead of the Reply, so you may not have seen it.
The Undercrown was a bit too peppery for me and a tad strong and I thought Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial may be to my liking. If you would, I'd like to get your comparison between the two.

yeah the undercrown was too peppery for me as well. It got a little milder after the 1/3. The Reserva Especial has a nice dark chocolate / leathery notes with a mild spicyness

Hey, thanks, buddy. I'm putting together an order and trying to branch out a little with a few more of the more flavorful ones without getting into knock-out territory. Connecticuts can be a little boring at times! I think I'll add a couple of the Garcias to the order. I appreciate the input.

A crowned heads yellow rose tonight. Was pretty dang goodView attachment 552446
Glad i bought a box to split!

I love the eastern standard and this is NOTHING like that. Bolder flavors, creamy, spicy pepper, full body, up there in strength.

$18 msrp? Ehhhhh.... no. I'd price it $11-12.

But i am really digging this!

Have been giving smoking a rest over winter. I am just not fond of sitting outside (where I smoke) long enough to enjoy a cigar. But have been diligently monitoring my humidors and rotating their contents. The smell is heaven. I am getting eager to taste next spring when some of these have had some rest.

That stick looks friggin tasty

I’m looking forward to this weekend with a break in the weather coming i’m planning a double batch brew day and hopefully enjoying a couple stogies on the deck

View attachment 553216 Had a Jaime Garcia last night. A tad stronger than I expected but, it surprisingly mellowed out toward the end. I smoked it to a little nub. It will be interesting to see what a little age does for them. Thanks for the heads-up, 6midgets!

Yeah the first time I had one the first 3 or 4 puffs I took off of it where too strong for me but it mellows out real nice.

I’ve been in training this week so I’ve had time at the end of the day for a cigar. Today was my first Cohiba. It was mild and smooth with occasional hints of sweetness.

Hey 6,
I had a My Father Connecticut last night. VERY nice. Put that one on your short list!

Not a Connecticut, however I finally got around to trying a My Father and it was a really great smoke. It’s a little spicy and leather. I think I’m gonna get a few more of these and age them. This one is a little on the harsh side but I bet with some time it would be amazing. Oh and that’s my killer guard dog Zero in the background. This cigar is almost as long as he is.
