Happy New Year!
yeah the undercrown was too peppery for me as well. It got a little milder after the 1/3. The Reserva Especial has a nice dark chocolate / leathery notes with a mild spicynessHey 6midgets,
You're giving me a complex here. I hit the Quote button instead of the Reply, so you may not have seen it.
The Undercrown was a bit too peppery for me and a tad strong and I thought Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial may be to my liking. If you would, I'd like to get your comparison between the two.

I love the eastern standard and this is NOTHING like that. Bolder flavors, creamy, spicy pepper, full body, up there in strength.
$18 msrp? Ehhhhh.... no. I'd price it $11-12.
But i am really digging this!View attachment 553014
View attachment 553216 Had a Jaime Garcia last night. A tad stronger than I expected but, it surprisingly mellowed out toward the end. I smoked it to a little nub. It will be interesting to see what a little age does for them. Thanks for the heads-up, 6midgets!
