A friend of my wife dropped off a care package today of brisket that her husband smoked and a bunch of sides she made (salad not shown....who needs to see salad). They also included a bottle of wine for my wife and 4 pack of water for me! Yay for Sip!

Long play is like 3:48. Extended long play is 6:31. I used to have it on the old 78" single. Rare these days@seanjwalker1 What is the time on the long play version? I'm now curious
My mom used to make a huge kettle of pork shoulder and sauerkraut simmered for hours, to serve over mashed potatoes, every New Years Day which brings good luck for the new year. Family and friends would stop in throughout the day for conversation and a big bowl of good luck.
Ahh, the good old days.
Both parents are from PA, it's been my traditional new year meal for as long as I can remember for the same reasons. Figured a nice big mug of something German couldn't hurt the luckiness. No one else in my family (damn southerners
) will touch it so I go simple with a bottle/can of kraut and pork cocktail weinies
New Year's Day meal? Pork, sauerkraut and bread dumplings. No exceptions!
