HB Oatmeal Porter. Undercarbed and don’t know why.

My dad gives us LL Bean gift cards every now and then. I’ll need to peep that out.
The outlet is not far from me. I could keep me eyes out for it. It's a sweet board for camp. Also, there's a new distillery in the same town. Doing scotch and bourbon. Was fairly impressed. I should send u some

Didn't know they still existed in any meaningful way.
Aaaaaah. People started taking advantage of them. You use to be able to get a return for like new if returned. Whether your jacket wore out? You'd get a new one. With the internet, people would scour yard sales and Goodwill, buy it for nothing, return it for new and then sell it on the internet. Good racket but ruined for the rest of us

Think I read too. Too bad I don't have craft beer enthusiastic family members in California. They're wine/Bud Light drinkers.
Screw that, I'm not camping out on a Santa Rosa sidewalk for two days just to buy a few cans of beer, I don't care what it is. Last year several bars finally had it on tap down by me. Got to try it after reading about it for years. My opinion - better than Elder. I'm assuming it'll be available again this year locally.

yes, yes you should.

I’ve been getting GC from there for the last 25 years.

You disappoint me...[emoji6]

I've looked at The Mad Fermentationalist clone for it. Maybe this year.

That looks amazing! What are the chances I could get the recipe for that?
I posted the details a few pages back but here you go...I make most of my IPAs very similar to this:
11 pounds 2-row
3 pounds white wheat
2 pounds malted oats
8 ounces carapils
6 ounces acidulated
4 ounces honey malt
10% phosphoric acid (whatever is required to get you to 5.3-5.4 mash ph)

Brewing salts based on your water volume to get you to:
130 sulfate, 110 chloride, 22 magnesium, 49 salt, 90 calcium

.5 ounces warrior at 60
1 oz. Citra, 1 oz. I-7 at 15
1 oz. Citra, 1 oz. I-7 at 5
1 oz. Citra, 1 oz. I-7 at FO
(Don’t be afraid of calculated IBUs from 20 minutes in)

Ferment 1318 or any equivalent at 72 degrees throughout.

Soft crash to 60 to drop as much yeast as possible. Transfer into a purged keg with the dry hop waiting.

Dry hop: 5 oz. Citra, 5 oz. I-7, 2 oz. Citra cryo.

Carb to 2.4 volumes and serve at 46 degrees.

Enjoy!
