Drinking two fisted tonight.

My rauchbier against Schlenkerla...

Funny the vintage Miller High Life pint (My Rauchbier) is very similar to the Schlenkerla glass and bottles. It was unplanned, more of a coincidence.

Curious how you added the coffee, looks like you're killing the stout game!!

3.5gallon batch...
Pale Malt 70%
Lactose, 8%
Chocolate 350, 8%
Roasted Barley, 6%
Crystal 60, 6%
Carapils, 4%

Magnum, 60min, 40 ibus
East Kent Goldings, 10min, 4 ibus

Placed on Wyeast 1056 yeast cake.

Cold crashed after 16 days.
OG= 1.082. FG=1.017. ABV=8.5%
Used RO and reminalized for 65 Calcium, 50 sulfate and 90 Chloride.

Soaked 2 sliced up vanilla beans in bourbon (Ezra Brooks), 2 weeks.
Ground RevKev's Deathwish and Valhalla coffee beans and soaked in additional bourbon for 15min. French pressed everything and added all to keg.


Hope this helps. Sent out in latest boxes so see what others think.

For the record, super flavorful and one of my best...imho.
