Red is looking like the clear winner!

You've got a real talent for damning with faint praise, sir!Beer. Ask for it by name.
This could have any of a couple dozen labels on it and it wouldn’t raise any eyebrows-maybe not even those of the folks who brewed it. It’s as generic as an American Lager can be.

That's all kinds of awesome! I don't remember if it was BYO or Zymurgy, I think it was Zym, but they did a similar article around twenty-five years ago. I let both subscriptions lapse several years ago, but I'll now be trying to hunt down someplace to buy a hardcopy of this issue.Speaking of damning with faint praise...has anyone checked out the latest Zymurgy? They have an article on brewing malt liquor. Yeah, no shiat.
Evoking flashbacks of my misdirected youth. Mickey's, Colt 45, Country Club.
Seriously, I just might do one. Pilsner, flaked corn, sugar, a little crystal malt. Some neutral hops (very little) and US-05 or the like.
Now if I can round up a bunch of empty foties for bottling.![]()
Mead started 10/20/2020. Didn't know jack about sna (just a noob that wanted to make alcohol!) so it started out pretty rough. It's getting better and hopefully will continue to do so. SWMBO who does not like mead says it tastes better than it did.![]()

Thanks for the heads up!
