I don't bottle much, and probably will less now that I have my new to me kegerator. But, I am wondering about something. In the past I have bottled my beers, added carb drops and let them sit in a closet at about 65 to 70 for a week or two before putting some in the fridge to cool and try. My thought was, warmer it will carb up quicker and do what I need it to do. Thinking about it last night, would it be better to put the bottles right into a cold storage like my kegerator or the fridge I turned into my fermenting unit and store them in the low 50's to high 40's? Like I said, I don't bottle much, but every so often I like to bottle stuff so I can share with friends. Any thoughts or input is much appreciated.

3 weeks at room temp to fully carb, then into the fridge for at least a few days.

I must get myself a manometer as a full time bottler.

You can always get a bottling gun and pressure-bottle if you want to share, or pour from the keg to a growler and share that way.

If you've got the kegs, don't bother bottling anything up front -- it'll be different from what's maturing in the keg. Your yeasties are happier in larger groups and I've found the larger the bottle, the tastier the beer... case in point, Heineken in 12oz vs 500ml bottles vs 5 liter mini-keg.

My opinion? Sure...her goes.

Taylor Swift is overrated, pineapple has no place on pizza, jorts are great, Valentines day is something we can do without, tater tots are in the top 3 of best things you can do with a potato, sock/sock/shoe/shoe makes way more sense than sock/shoe/sock/shoe, wagyu steak feels like meat paste (gross), pugs are ugly, Samsung is better than Apple, we should get rid of daylight savings time, flying is not safer than driving, money can buy happiness, giving is not better than receiving, aliens exist, dogs are the best pets, toilet paper should always go over (not under), all coffee tastes like ass, night showers are better than morning showers, ketchup belongs in the fridge, soccer is boring, Back to the Future 2 was the best Back to the Future.
