@SanJuanWorm, I hope you can get the treatment you need. Keep on those doctors and advocate for some right answers! They'll get it figured out.

Having HB Kellerbier with Zappa hops. I have 6 left in the fridge and wanted to taste test to see if they are still good. We're having friends coming here from Germany in 3 weeks and I want to have a variety of HBs on hand.

Free 12pk of the now defunct Thirsty Planet brewed 11/23 and sat in the 100F warehouse for months. Their beers were never very good anyway so who'd know the difference?

Edit, made it about 1/2 way through before dumping. I'm doing a community service so no one else has to get them.

Just got back from a 10 hour road trip to pick up my granddaughter. Being an old guy who didn't want to turn it into an 11 hour trip, I didn't drink much water at all during the drive. Stopped by the C store looking for something tall, cold and refreshing and got this. Basically their Especial with added salt and lime but it hit the spot.

A Goose Island IPA - while I’m flying on an Airbus 321 cross-country! This is a 4 hour flight, I hope they brought enough for everyone!

At 5.9% ABV this is a thirst quenching IPA, but a bit restrained on the hops. The can says “grapefruity”… well maybe. I’d call this a fairly straight forward IPA, I’m guessing they are shooting for the middle of the beer drinking masses. A real improvement over the “diet” beers I’ve been drinking. Cheers!

As a diehard IPA drinker do you remember how real beers taste?

Nothing like chaos at work. Was suppose to be here over 3 hours ago to hit some balls and the pool. This will do. Hot and humid. Boomers! Incoming!!!!View attachment 851793

Had a fiddlehead earlier, then came home to no power, drug out the generator and powered the house, so here's a power outage beer, we should have power in 24 to 36 hours, maybe.

Last of my Calgary beers. Not bad.

Had a couple beers with a work friend of mine tonight. I’ve worked with him for the last fifteen years: part co-worker, part mentor, all friend. He’s fully retiring in a couple weeks (he’s been partially retired for the last 5 years). Kind of teary eyed thinking I might not hear from him as much. I’m the same age as his kids, but he told me tonight that he never viewed me that way, just as a friend. There ARE some really good people in the world. George is one of them.

Mowing the lawn on a torn meniscus requires a certain Czech medicine lol

My homebrewed double decoction 12*p Cz pale lager. This is probably the most authentic European lager I’ve ever brewed and it just keeps getting better with time. This is going to end up being my house beer that’s always on.

I’ve been hammering my Kolsch and 189 lager. I’ve reached IPA burnout. These beers bring you back. I’ve sat on my last two kegs. Every pour is like a wow. Wow how good it is, and wow, why have I strayed from these great styles? Good on ya, thing of beauty.

Heads Carolina - Tails California! That’s how it is me traveling from SoCal to Sierra Nevada’s “other” home state, North Carolina!

I follow the beer scene closely on the West coast, so just when you think you have it all figured out, Sierra tosses this one your way. Non-Alcoholic Trail Pass IPA in North Carolina?… and not in SoCal? Me befuddled.

Great non-alcohol brew however, these brewers are really dialing it in!
