Well, it’s supposed to be a blond. It’s my tester so likely a little oxidized, but drinkable. First brew made in the new-2-me grainfather.
I hope you're liking the Grainfather. While I was back home in Oregon this winter I had the chance to help an old friend that recently made the AG plunge and I was absolutely blown away by his Anvil all-in-one. It took me decades to build the functionality into my rig that he bought off the shelf for about a grand.

I was floored. All-in-ones are amazing.

It’s so far so good. I need to get better acquainted with the controls… all the tutorials and instructions I have found are the newer models, but I’ll figure it out. When I brew wheat beers I usually step mash and it summer, time for a Hefe.
BTW this is the blond going into a keg. My tester may be more than a little oxidized. 04A91156-76C1-46C6-A60A-C6EFC7136CED.jpeg

Just a bit, yeah! ;)

That looks beautiful!

Surly Winter Lager that I bought on clearance. It's a light amber German-ish bock beer that is 6% ABV and dry for the style. I am really drinking this one too cold (put it in the freezer too long) so it drinks like an unusually good American malt liquor. I'm liking it. I need to see if the liquor store has any more left..

I think at this point everyone knows what my fizzy yellow swills look like. The same can be said about my glassware.

I don't want our relationship to get stale and boring, so I'm going to try to spice things up a bit.

It's been a few years since I tantalized you with my filthy store-brand plastic peanut jar. I hope it rekindles things between us.

Tonight is end of Residency graduation for my Doctor Daughter, a time of great pride in the Beermeister32 household!

Luckily, Doctor’s orders included a nice hoppy IPA from Winston-Salem. Hoppyum IPA (that’s Hoppy and Yum in my book!) lives up to its reputation - 6.25% ABV and loaded with yummy Simcoe hops! Delicious! Well worth the trip!
