I was contemplating making a hardcider that would be good heated up and spiced to sit in front of the fire with and sip in the cold winter months. Is this feasible or do hard ciders generally not do well with warmth?
 
Mulled cider is quite common. The key is to not heat it too much or too long, otherwise you lose the alcohol.
 
just wondering. i told someone my idea on this and they said that it wouldnt taste very good, so now i can brew in confidence. thanks
 
Hot, spiced cider (sweet or hard) has been a winter staple in my family for at least a few generations. Like David said: heat it to much or too long & you'll lose the alcohol. Regards, GF.

I've tried warming carbonated apple wine and its not good.

What I've done before is take apple jack and put a few shots of it in warm apple cider.
