My brew calculation said I should get a 33 Ibu. 4 wks in fermenter haven't chilled or carbed yet. Nicely cleared.
.63 oz of magnum whole leaf per 5 gals. 13.3 AA
I shouldn't get a really dry taste at this rate should I?
Extract and crystal 80
Smells great tastes bad. I checked for off tasteproblems but have none of the common scenarios for astringency.

No, 33 IBUs is rather tame, although everyones tastes differ. What kinds of fermentables did you use? Usually I have that problem when I overdo adding sugar, and it ferments out too dry.

"ferments out too dry"
That makes sense in my case
Northern and safe ale yeast
Have any suggestions for a yeast that leaves the malt flavor I like?
I have some plain old Muntons Premium to try for next batch.
Never used it though
