Possibly useful, but it'd be the Tiniest Randall Ever.
That whole thing is ~ 5.5" tall and the screened volume is likely not even a third of the total...
it could also be used as a pre-strainer for a rims / herms system, too. It would do a good job of keeping pumps grain-free. But that's only if it's food safe at boiling temps.
Nylon / Polyamide is generally food safe at boiling temps, yeah. There's a bunch of cookware utensils that are made out of polyamide and rated to something stupid like 450F. I believe there's some varying mixes, so it's possible the mold isn't pure nylon.
