The Goblins about to die. The Cornies feeling rather light.
I have a couple of pale ales coming up behind then an Old speckled hen.

What do you reckon?
Another batch of Goblin or can you recomend something better as good.
As you can see from my brews I like English style bitter/old ales.

I may brew tomorrow afternoon if SHMBO can be charmed.

I don't know if you've ever tried Poor Richard's Ale. It has a large amount of corn in it and some molasses, so it's rather different from most old ales. Very tasty though. I'm thinking about doing this again, but bump the bill enough that I can get a regular batch & a small beer from it.

My favo(u)rite to date is:
8 lbs Maris Otter
1 Lb 55 L Crystal
1 lb CaraPils
Mash 60 minutes at 155 F
Fly sparge 90 minutes (85% efficiency)

2.5 oz Norther Brewer (7% AA) 60 minutes
1.25 oz Fuggles (5% AA) 30 minutes
1.25 oz EKG (5% AA) 5 minutes

White Labs WLP005 yeast.

You may want to bump the grain a little for your lower efficiency.

Unfortunately, I held a party at which this beer was served. I got 1 pint out of the 5g batch (at least it was a 20 oz pint), and multiple requests for a repeat of the brew.

I repeated the brew on December 10, and will know how well it compares to the original in about 5 - 6 weeks time.
(I'm ashamed to say that I haven't told anybody about the repeat brew.)

...If I was a little close I would invite myself for a couple of pints!

I have all of that on stock.
What is it? Seems Like an IPA PA recipe.
Whats the batch size and SG?

Don't you ever sleep?

It's a 5 US gallon ESB recipe, but a little bit stronger than the original and probably a bit more hoppy. (I like hoppy!)

I got an OG of 1.063

Pretty close to the US version of Fullers ESB, but a bit more alcholol.
