The only good poke I've had in the Bay Area is Simply Bowl in Berkeley. Fight me.

I've had nothing in California that touches the most average dumpster in Hawaii. That's fine, though.

Alvarados food is pretty money, but I always grab Poke Lab if I hit Monterey location. Also, The Beer thirty/Alvarado 'colaBEERation' is really good. Hit B30 at noon today and it was flying off the shelves. The bonus glass was pretty cool too, stuck around for a second pour and another glass.

Could talk about green tea: Poke Lab is the only place I've seen cans of Ito En green tea (https://www.itoen.com/) other than from Hawaii. Was there yesterday (helping brentsdodgers celebrate at Alverado) and the Poke Lab crew said they import from Japan.

Looks like plastic only, but good to know. I can find Ito En bottles at Costco at least, but still not the same as the cans.

This was the best April fools thing I saw all day. I half believed it till I got to 'AUTHENTIC'. With all the milkshake IPA's and stuff out there, I would have at least tried this, hah.

Rainy weather made me bust this one out. Really well done. Prickly carb, full mouthfeel, caramel figs, vanilla, heat on the finish. Touch dry for my taste but that makes it merely excellent. As far as I can tell the barrel is pretty much exclusively coming through via the vanilla presence. Makes me wish I had more, I think there's a chance this one can go the distance.

Picked up 2 cans at the Monterrey location based on this review. Looking forward to cracking one this weekend.
