Im normally not the type to pat ourselves on the back but god damn, I hope yall grabbed some of this.

Spent the weekend in Monterey and made two visits to Alvarado. Really enjoyed the brewery. The beer garden is an amazing space and I already regret not brining any cans home (we bought a bunch, just drank them all while still in Monterey). But I do have to ask one thing. What is up with Giants fans? The whole place was there rooting for LA to lose. As a Dodgers fan, I really dislike the Giants, but I can't ever imagine a scenario where I would root for a team from Boston over another team from California. You may not like people from LA, but have you ever met a person from Boston? Really wasn't expecting that.

Some Giants fans feel that way, but most of them were on "team meteor". But why root for a division rival? At best you'd be indifferent, and if you have no antipathy for the AL team, then of course you're going to root for them.

Though, really, I don't get the whole "have you met a ___?" thing. I think the concentration of ******** is pretty even across time/space, and SF/LA have a city rivalry the way NY/Boston do, but SF/Boston is not a thing.

Well you clearly haven't been to Boston then ;). They call them massholes for a reason.

I was team meteor.

lol dodger fans acted the same way when the Giants were in the same position, they quickly became Detroit fans.

...I grew up in RI. I'm familiar with the area, and I moved out here for a reason. I don't think it's all that different.

It's like in the Why Your Team Sucks series every single fanbase gets called a bunch of racist thugs, the ******** are everywhere.

holy ****! some serious cans are coming out this week. Never dead sounds interesting

tosh check out that wyld is back!

Any of them going to cost less than $4 each? That is about all I am prepared to pay for a tin of beer these days to be honest.
not around here, but possibly at the brewery. maybe you’ll find yourself down there again?

The new YOE restaurant in Carmel is now open for any of yall roadtriping down this way. Had the food last week at the aoft opening and dont pass up the kale and miso appetizer. God damn. Also a familiar bbq spot will be opening in the crossroads shopping center for those that frequent Sante and eat nearby.

Congrats on the new YEO spot Brent!

The burger is pretty good. Did you try Monterey Beer? Can’t wait for 12 packs.

My burger was crispy and well done. o_O The tilapia tacos were just ok. Same with the queso and the mushroom pizza (crust was too floppy). It's Bay Area prices, but disappointing on quality. I love the setup, and clearly the crowd/wait disagree with my opinion, so w/e. I'll still go back. Can't believe I waited this long for my first visit.

I didn't try Monterey Beer, but they had cans of it in the fridge. I'm loading up on the way out.

I just cracked open a can of Motor Oil 3 & it’s way off. No discernible maple flavor, & it’s heading towards sour. Anybody else experienced this? I had a can the day it came out & I loved it, & it was still tasting great on draft at the Toronado recently.
