I brew with no frills stainless pot. I usually just use a pan dipping and pour in my fermenter. But mid way the dregs start getting in. What is preferred way to transfer wort with my set up?

If you did that, maybe now's the time to consider adding a ball valve to your kettle. ...could actually work on a stovetop too.. For your consideration:
