Only dropped down to 48 last night. I slept with the blankets off half the night!

During the heating season, I turn on the furnace blower to run continuously. We have an old 2600+ft2 two-story house, and moving the air around heats it more evenly. But the end of April is approaching...which is when I like to turn the blower off of continuous, and only come on if the house needs heat. Then, it will be really quiet in this house!!!

We had our first full day of 60+ yesterday and subsequently, I had my first all-grain brew day outside on my new equipment. I'm pretty sure it was the first time I've been outside for that duration in nearly 6 months. Today looks like it is even nicer out, although if I had the choice I would take yesterdays weather year-round.

The neighbors still have snow in areas because they get no sunlight. My Northern Brewer hops are usually one of the first things to sprout in my yard. I leaf blew the yard over the weekend and noticed they hadn't come up yet. They're kind of in a raise bed rock wall for convenience of maintenance. I wonder if the long extent of unusually cold temps killed them. Then again, things are just starting to sprout.

Just mowed the grass for the second time.Daffodils are about done ,but red buds, dogwoods,lilacs and crab apples are starting to bloom.Hang in there it won't be long.

Same here, most days the windows are wide open and we have cut the grass twice already.

It snowed here today. Not enough to cover the ground, so aside from a few piles in my yard there isn't much accumulation. Still, I hated to see it. It's cold, and wet, and with big fluffy snowflakes it is depressing.

I want summer. Bad!

Still getting a bit of snow now and again, but everything but the big heap in the shady side of the yard has melted...maybe 2-3 more weeks before i have to find the lawnmower.

Snow coming down when I went to work. Almost like chunks of ice they were irregular chunks, but not compacted like sleet.

It's technically too warm for it, so I suspect it won't last long, but the forecast is showing a cooling trend, and a high of 37 on Thursday.

It won't be fun to dig up some hops rhizomes for my buddy, but it's gotta get done.

We'll be getting cold enough this Saturday to get this rain turning to snow. I hope not. We got wold chives in patches about 10" tall in the yard. Time to do some clipping!

I really did turn off the furnace blower...but turned it back on continuous this morning. Currently a bit above 40°F with strong winds...that just blow into every crack and crevice in this old house. We won't see 70°F until the end of next week. Burrrrrrr! But no snow!!

I had taken the glass panel out of the back storm door about a week ago. Today, I put it back in! The wind is whipping from the west, heading smack-dab into that door. Much warmer in the back hall now!

I am far north of most of you. We have been alternating between T-shirts, jackets, and snowflakes. Sometimes all in the same day. Our tulips are fat and about to bloom any minute now.

We received .1" here too yesterday. April snow is not that unusual here. Two years ago we had a snowstorm in early May.

True, but anybody from Wisconsin would definitely know what a Yooper is!

We are not that far north, just slightly above the 46th parallel, but we are far inland so it's very cold in the winter. It's pretty cold in the spring, too!

It's snowing now, but not alot. I wish we had tulips and things ready to bloom- that would be such a nice sign of spring! But nothing for a while yet, until it warms up a bit.

It's supposed to get up into the 40s later this week, and maybe up to the 50s during the day. That would be so nice!
