Hello brewers and brewerines!

I'm a 4-batches beginner kit extract brewer from Norway. Thought I'd check this place out and pick up a thing or two from the knowledgeable people that seem to frequent these forums.

Cheers / 17! :mug:

Welcome! Cool to see people from different parts of the wold on this forum. Hit me up if ya ever want to trade brews!

Thank you, Rockin M!

BrewTech: Very cool, manl! I will try to keep you in mind when I decide to prepare a shipment to the US. I plan on making another batch of Viking Ale eventually, maybe all grain this time. I do have a lot of other brews planned first, but it's awesome to have someone offering trades right off the bat like that.

Cheers! 17!!

I was on another form and did trades allot was interesting to try beers craft made from around the world.

That's really good to hear. You see, I've been told that shipping home brew to the US is a risky game. Some even say it is straight up illegal to ship alcohol to you. Would it be as easy as declaring the contents as a gift of home brew beer? I'm asking because it's not exactly cheap to make an attempt. I just tried to ship a six-pack to Canada and it cost be nearly $100 and they broke 3 of the bottles. I used plenty of bubble wrap and styrofoam pellets on all the bottles, even the 3 PET bottles they failed to demolish.. lol.

Cheers!

Honestly I don't know about the legality of it - He sent his beers in a PET container and boxed it up with a few other things, I know shipping was expensive and took a long time. I have shipped mine to Spain and Germany and had packages come from the same places, usual in a box with other things in there as well, we traded family pictures and a few culture items as well all in one box so it wasn't just beer bottles being sent. I want to say shipping was around 45 bucks but cant remember i don't think it was over 50.

Yeah.... I'm not drunk enough to even get the gist of that. Don't be shy to try again in English. ;)

Might be OK then. I have a few in the states I would like to send some to eventually. We'll keep in touch, as I have 3 other shipments planned at the moment. Cheers!

Welcome to the hobby, and the group, from Colorado :mug:

Thank you for the welcome!
