As the title states, I am an amateur brewer from Norway (emphasis on the amateur part).
I may have gone a little overboard a few years ago and acquired more equipment and reading material than my knowledge and skill required.
After a few sudden fails (not necessarily infections, but just a very watery taste) and some unfortunate electric prices two winters ago, I took a break.

I am now back, and while reading up on some yeast, I found this forum.

My name is Lars. I have worked for over a decade in the motorcycle business in Norway and wanted to start brewing due to my late grandfather and grandmother. They had a tradition of brewing before the holidays. I am still trying to acquire their recipe.
I am also a hunter, so being able to provide self-acquired food and self-made beverages is something I hope to be able to do in the future as a tradition for my family.
