Strange world when breweries call out a person by name appealing for a trade embargo.
Adam is fine with people trading his beer. He’s 100% against people selling it for money and as part of joining Oakworks you agree to not do so under forfeiture of your membership.

I get that and I don’t have any problem with operating that way, just a bit odd to take the extra steps against the person who got kicked out.
Lots of breweries do the same. I'm on board with it. I just wish trading wasn't such a ******* hassle these days. Floodland beer traders always seem to want $300 worth of beer for a bottle and seem to focus entirely on secondary
ISO Floodland. Never heard of them but I believe you.I wouldn’t even think of trading away my Floodland stuff. They’re just too damn good compared to whatever I’d get back.

I’d bet Zombie Dust is high on the list as well. This thought popped into my head the other day. I wonder what one beer is/was the most sent via mail in trades.
I'm sure for a while there is was Pliny the Elder but then maybe it became Heady Topper?
I'll also accept Smokey and the Bandit gifs as a response.

I’ve sent away a couple of things in BIFs - ac24 got my Marsanne from the last public box - where someone else has been generous enough to share with me.Maybe the thought is that public outing will prevent other people from doing the same thing.

I mean, I think we can put all the hyped IPAs of yore into that bucket. Julius cans, Nelson bombers - ****, maybe even Hopslam.I’d bet Zombie Dust is high on the list as well.

I still struggle to find bcbs.KBS also got traded quite a bit back in the day. As did BCBS.
I'd be down to return to those simpler times. Especially because I could still get Olfabrikken Porter.

KBS here in Minnesota went from...Way back when, I used to have folks toss in KBS as extras.
Then, It turned into a hot commodity, and traded really high.
Now, it just sits locally.
Circle of life.

I haven't seen this, and I've heard good things, but I'd wager that comparing beers by price point isn't nearly as quantitative and comparing other craft products.
I mean, it has to come down to macro vs craft in the end, right?
Sounds like Odd Breed. I worry about that kind of brewery existing here, especially since I know the people running it. BA Mixed Fermentation stuff isn't exactly mainstream and it's in kind of a ghetto area they are trying to prop up.Former owner/brewer at Holy Mountain started up his own super small brewery focused on mixed fermentation last year. Mostly membership only (Oakworks) but there are a couple online public sales every year. No proxies allowed on the public sales and only Oakworks members can proxy for other Oakworks members.
No I'm with you too haha - that was part of the fun of watching the video.I watched this tonight and I noticed with all the beers it was really easy to guess the craft beer just from the packaging (shape of the bottle... heck the craft IPA was a 16oz can)
Or am I just a nerd?
I think one of the BA ones was Innis & GunnNo I'm with you too haha - that was part of the fun of watching the video.
I couldn't make out the BA beers, however - but I'm pretty sure the fruit sour had to be a Barrelworks beer.
Wow, that's a name i haven't heard of in a while - and it explains the wacky bottle shape.I think one of the BA ones was Innis & Gunn
Also recognized Negra Modelo, Shock Top and Allagash White. And I guess the dunkel was Ayinger, can't think of another beer in that bottle shape that is widely exported (except Schlenkerla but the taste description didn't match).I think one of the BA ones was Innis & Gunn

I am opening it this Saturday at share, really excited to try it as I have heard nothing but good things. Thanks again!
At a brewery that has a sour white stout with coffee and chocolate...ummmm![]()
At least they call it sour. Local brewery had a super contaminated porter and when I returned it they told me "no, that's what the traditional style is supposed to taste like".First thing that went through my head was whether or not it was soured intentionally.
