Invasive species is rad, walking distance from laser wolf.
Thanks. We checked this out tonight and their beer was phenomenal.

Got their Triple DH beer on tap and picked up a Double DH beer w/ Citra in cans (it was $14/4-pack) in cans to bring back home.

Non-beer related but do you happen to know any more about Drew? All I saw was the note on Deadspin.

I do not. Hoping for the best.

****, had no clue what you guys were talking about until I read that Note on Deadspin.

Just read this article recently (H/T to Dunt for posting it on FB) that Drew did about Anthony Bourdain, and remembered how much I enjoyed reading his material.

A 12 bottle shipper intended for my porch has gone awol about 2 hours from my house after a 4 day delay... I reached out to fedex to see what's up, gave them details about my 35lb box of "bbq sauce and marinades." This morning I get a phone call from FedEx at 6:00am asking for more details about this bbq sauce. Do I take the L, or is there still hope?

I haven't seen this, and I've heard good things, but I'd wager that comparing beers by price point isn't nearly as quantitative and comparing other craft products.

I mean, it has to come down to macro vs craft in the end, right?

Why is it always Garrett Oliver?

Amateur ass ****. Let me know when people can taste the difference in bottle count.

Pick one:

Sam Calagione
Garrett Oliver
Those Brewdogs dudes
The ghost of Michael Jackson

Surprised they didn't give us secondary prices.

Absolutely. I just don't understand, with the emergence of Transmission, Other Half, Threes, LIC, Interboro, Industrial Arts, and all the other next wave NYC breweries, that they still just hit up Garrett every time.

I mean he's relatively well known especially compared to the breweries named. Not that the other breweries are bad but outside of their immediate market and the craft beer nerd circle people might know nothing about those breweries/who their brewers are. I certainly couldnt name the brewers from those spots. But I do know who Garrett Oliver is/have heard of Brooklyn Brewing.

Maybe I'm wondering more about how he always has time for it? Is he quasi-retired?

Epicurious is a food-focused website and Garrett knows his **** on that kind of stuff. I'd hit him up 10/10 times over any of the brewers you mentioned.

Was going to drop in and say something similar. He may be a bit old school, but he also literally wrote the book on beer and food pairing.

Which is why I would get him for a food segment involving beer. A blind taste test segment could be done by literally any brewer on earth.

Because he is one of the most recognizable brewers to most of the beer world. I know Oliver, and what he looks like. I have no clue what those other people look like, and would assume most people are the same. It's all about recognition and reputation.

Not to mention familiarity with public speaking or presenting on camera. Qualified or not, I doubt Epicurious would want to take the risk on a random schlub with no real video experience - even if they're from a notable local brewery.

Catching up now that I am back home and can post, ******* office blocking the site....

**** yeah!

America?

This is actually brilliant. I think Trady has or had a dope Vinegar label to affix to your box, should have screengrabbed that

Hills Balsamics. For all your tangy needs.

Take this image, put your fake business name and your home address on it. Nobody will question the contents, and if the shipping label gets ripped off, they will return it to this address:
