Waxed cans have to be the dumbest ****. They're not the first people to wax an IPA, however... I remember Monday Night Brewing doing one a few years ago.

Moylan's has definitely done it in the past with some of their imperial IPA bombers, I specifically recall Hop Craic (which is supposed to be a quadruple IPA or whatever) was waxed.

I'm sure some dumb brewery has done this with NEIPA cans already somewhere, although it's always hard to tell which of these are meant to be taking the piss versus which ones are intended somewhat seriously.

I haven't made a beer purchase that has put this kind of smile on my face in quite a long time.

x2 cases of Dovetail Helles Lager in 16oz - 4 packs for $121 out the door tonight. Might be back next week if they run the same deal (basically buy x11 4-packs and get the 12th 4 pack free) on the Vienna Lager they are canning.

The real question is how long these 48 cans will last in the house with the holidays coming up (down to 47 as we speak...)

Well I started with x48 cans on Tuesday evening, and I'm down to 27 cans as of this moment (11:30 on Friday evening). x8 were given to folks at Imperial Oak Brewing (my local brewery), x2 were given to dvelcich and his crew at Burger Antics.

I did also go to a Bulls / Nets game on Wednesday evening and just got home from the company Christmas party tonight.

It's only 4.4% though so I've got that going for me at least...

I nearly deleted Tavour from my phone Thursday to try and curb the beer acquisition... then yesterday they had Side Project Blanc de Blanks (albeit for $22). I wish that was the sort of thing they had every day instead of endless non-description pastry IPAs from Decadent (hey this one has vanilla, lactose AND falafel in!)

That actually prolly isn’t bad. Very lemony spiced sweet BA beer that’s meant to mimic the drink in the first place.

Anyone else get anything beer related for Christmas? My wife got me this Minoh Brewery tenugui while we were in Tokyo last month. Gonna get it framed and put it up somewhere in the house. Absolutely love it, especially since she and I went to Minoh's production facility outside Osaka back in 2014.
