Gotta agree.. the southern tip of Cozumel was one of the better places in the world I've ever gone diving. Did you hit the Cenotes while you were in the YP ?

As for a guess on the latest skyline.. how about Boothbay Harbor, Maine ?

The mayans would throw virgins in them among other things. Sadly, through all my travels in the yp we havent visited very many of them. We did go to chaakanab the amazing np there with underwater sculptures. I think there is a cenote there.

That's correct. You're up!

Boothbay was kind of easy with that big Lobster Dock sign in the background.
Anyway here we go... took this in 2014.

@MrScrap: Diving the Cenote was way cool. Maybe it's only hazardous to virgins? ;)

High pitch of the roofs suggests that snow is a problem.

Twin spires on a church and verdigris roofing both feel quite Austrian - perhaps formerly in their empire?

Relative lack of modern development around the church implies either they have been paranoid about heritage for a long time, or were the wrong side of the Iron Curtain.

So, somewhere in the Carpathians or Balkans?

Good guess but no not part of Austria nor the former empire. However their forces did lose a major battle near here.

Not Dortmund either.
You can climb the almost 800 steps to the top of the main spire in the church where this pic was taken.

Just going on history rather than geography, Austerlitz is in the wrong country so - Ulm?

Yep, it's the Trip, with Nottingham Castle in the background. It's one of several pubs that claim to be the oldest in the UK, they claim to have been selling beer some 300 years before Columbus sailed.

This article gives a small flavour, don't you hate it when your haunted galleon is distracting from the chair that makes people pregnant?

You're up.
