Hi y'all!
WildRescue (http://www.wildrescue.org) is searching for local homebrewers to participate in our fundraising event, December 3rd, at the Fort Mason Conference Center. We are hoping to raise enough funds to provide the Bay Area with a 24/7 dedicated wildlife paramedic and ambulance service in 2012.
Were looking for local brewers who can contribute a quantity of home brew for sampling at our gala event in exchange for name/brand exposure and a chance to make connections with other brewers and patrons!
Our event will begin around 2:00 pm with our annual The Year In Rescues
presentation and special awards ceremony for outstanding heroism on behalf or wildlife, followed, at about 4:30, by a fine reception featuring exquisite vegetarian and vegan foods, signature cocktails, and a silent auction. This is where we would be serving samples of your handcrafted elixir. Fun, wildlife-related names encouraged!
We hope you will choose to participate. If so, please contact Max Salamander at max (at) wildrescue (dot) org.
Why its an important cause?
As you might already know, currently, when someone finds an injured wild animal - like a pelican tangled in fishing line, or a baby squirrel thats fallen from its nest, they may reach out to one of the areas wildlife hospitals for help. Unfortunately, none offer field services. If they contact their local humane society or shelter, the animal will still need to be transferred to the appropriate wildlife rehabilitation facility for evaluation and treatment.
Imagine if there were a wildlife medic and ambulance on duty, day and night. Help us make this dream a reality, wont you?
Warm regards and cheers!
