I love that Shrimp Store is somewhere in the 200 page range here still reading this thread from start to finish.

Up to page 291 (20 posts per page). I read 5 pages per session but read all unread posts daily so that I am actually catching up to the end rather than falling away into lambic (shipping issues) purgatory. My methodology has levelled up.

Is that one of those GIFs you've always had queued up but never were able to use until now?

Just wait until the 400s.

I assume something interesting happened.

Just read a post that said fresh vig >>> aged vig.

I have a 2014, should I drink now (btw never had vig before)? Has anyone had a 2014 recently?
If you’ve never had Vig, I would hold on to the 2014 until you can get a fresh bottle. Then do a side by side and see which you prefer.

Excited to hear that '16 Vig is awesome. I cracked one during the Stanley Cup Playoffs (May or so), and it wasn't my favorite. But I think Cantillon sometimes suffers from 'Tome Syndrome (selling things a bit before they are quite ready). Hoping some bottle conditioning is good for my other one.

Just popped a bottle of the coveted honey blend. Warning: Watch Out! Granted, I received the box today so I should have let it sit longer but I figured 4 hours was enough. Nearly blew a hole in the ceiling after only one twist of the cage. Strangely enough, it didn't foam up one bit so it was likely just from being moved around.

As for taste, I don't get it. This is more muted in funk and complexity than almost any other OG or A&G blend that I've had. The taste just falls apart on the palate. Has some nice liberality to it, but overall it isn't too redeeming. It's not a bad beer by any means, but I would take OG over this blend all day, every day.

Release the Honing hounds!!!

Thanks Obama?

I think all the silly hype over it having a small amount of oude lambiek honing in it has people thinking it'll have a honey forward palate to it or a floral palate like OG honing. Its a young A&G blend, and like other young A&G blends it tastes like mostly young lambic. I think it'll age well, but we shall see. Its a damn good beer nonetheless.

Every frresh bottle of A&G I've had did this. I opened one of this batch that had been sitting for over a week and it shot the cork about 15 meters into a tree.
