Loads of lemony funk and just a hint of vinegar, which doesn't detract at all. A bit of a heavy mouthfeel but there's enough carb to keep it from being too much. I can't put the glass down.
Thanks, much appreciated! Though to clarify, I'm a CA native so the only fancy **** I have to trade is a 2015 West Ashely... very exciting, I know.Well lmk if you want to come to a tasting or do any trades or anything! Might be help with the Alvarado cans, but it depends on what you're looking for. (If you end up going down to Sante, Aptos BBQ actually tends to have most of the recent releases available to go, it can be more reliable than up here where stuff tends to sell out.)
Huh, for some reason I thought you lived abroad. Thanks, much appreciated! Though to clarify, I'm a CA native so the only fancy **** I have to trade is a 2015 West Ashely... very exciting, I know.![]()
I meant to post this previously and you reminded me, I opened a 2016 Golden Blend this week and it ought to come with a warning, the cork exploded into my ceiling and it started gushing. It had been stored at 55* then moved into a fridge for about an hour, so I guess it could've been colder...![]()

More making fun of the fact of how similar most hashtags are. Beer, beers, craftbeer, belgianbeer... I guess it just seems over the top for those of us that don't use it.Yeah, building up a decent social media following using copious amounts hashtags so we can put our name to good use for things like BfNA is just turrible. Also, Instagram maxes out at 30 hashtags sooo yeah.

On a related note, if anyone wants to share a bottle at the brewery tomorrow, hit me up

My favorite was the Joose offer. They going to pay for expedited international shipping and use cold packs to get them there? Those first replies.

If so, I would consider this trade, not because I care about the beer, but just to make them go through the hassle and the money, and for posting such stupidity. My favorite was the Joose offer. They going to pay for expedited international shipping and use cold packs to get them there?

I'd probably skip that one tbh. Can't imagine it being cheap and it's by far one of my least favorite bottles I've had.I'll be swinging by Akkurat in a few weeks, but I'm not too familiar with limited edition goozies or older lambic vintages in general. Any tips from the experts? Already know to seek out Soleil de Minuit and Bokkereyder if they have it. Also saw somebody mention Hanssens 1998 in an older thread. I get the feeling I'm going to have to spend a few hours with that menu...
(Any chance they carry Zwanze vintages, or is that only a Cantillon brewery thing? Last time I was at Cantillon I didn't know a thing about beer and didn't even try a single bottle from their reserve list...)
Had a fantastic day in Belgium today. Starting at 10am at Grote Dorst. Then to De Heeren for 7 hours of eating and drinking, then finally to Moeder (fountains) where we were able to try some bottles blended by Tommie Sejf . Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and generous. As close to a perfect beer day as I could imagine.
Had a De Cam Framboise Lambiek on Saturday night and it was tongue dissolving sour (not in a good way) and vinegar![]()

RdG isn’t currently that gold/orange right?
I'm going to go ahead and assume they used a 10+ year old vintage for the photo. No not really, but that could be a result of the original magazine + print + scan + Instagram filter too.
