2011 Golden Blend is beautiful right now

Checking in on Armand & Tommy. No cradle, no decanting, just the entire bottle to the glass. Have been drinking for about 45 minutes now. Great carbonation, cork popped off, but no gushing. As others have pointed out, this beer has lost what was a very upfront citrus character (IMO) and has moved on to a mature earthy/woody characteristic almost reminiscent of a well aged Girardin. I think the older lambic used in this is really discernible with a hint of black pepper zest to it and a fairly dry, tart finish. Super smooth and well rounded, moderately creamy mouthful. Haven't had a bad bottle of this yet.

Opening a bottle on a Saturday. Appreciate the review!

I ******* loathe that discussion on Loerik in our Facebook group. So stupid.

I feel like a bunch of those guys want whatever this new thing conditioning is to be called "Loerik" so they can act like they are ticking a big white whale, as if having the same name or description as a beer from 15 years ago makes it the same thing.
