Just look for the fedora.

Just wanted to take this moment to say this is the best thread on the internet.
Did you put much thought into how this reply could be perceived?I came for the butt stuff
A Q for you guys, unfortunately unrelated to any recent discussion (which I've perused and enjoyed - thanks):
Early 1990s 3F Gueuze. How is it drinking? Apart from sheer rarity, is it worth trading for? I'm not necessarily looking for trade value (though you can feel free to weigh in) but I'm more just curious if it's held up well; so I thought I'd ask it here.
Saw this before but I still don't know what I'm looking at exactlyNot mine.

How you seen bottles of early 1990s 3F OG out there? Most of the 1990s stuff that is around is 1996 and later. Bottles of 1997 are available at the 3F restaurant and, as of two weeks ago, are still tasting phenomenal. Not too much oxidization (color is still fairly bright) and maintaining great complexity. Really hasn't fallen off in the last ten years, IMO.
Looking good! 100% less Papyrus at leastPurportedly the new design for the bottles. Label on the back with all the required info and a small side label for type of beer.
We're working on dating the bottles. Maybe will post pics later, but purportedly they're early 90's. May be impossible to date though, since the labels have dissolved off. :-/
Yep sounds like we're on track.Early 1990s wouldn't have had labels on the body of the bottle... if anything, they would have just a neck-ring:

Would love to see a photo of the bottle/cork... would help a bit with figuring it out.
2012 ogv 1pp on both 375s and 750s to go from what I hear.

I ******* LOVE this bottle design!
I remember someone saying they didn't empty the barrels entirely and were going to start some sort of solera blend.....which is extremely awesome if accurate.Don't know if this was asked already and I apologize for not going back and looking for the answer but does anyone know if Zenne b2 was aged in the same sherry casks as b1? or were they new, to 3f, sherry casks and if new are they the same age as what was used for b1?
I heard the same as above -- that Armand refilled the same casks from b1 with what will be b2.Don't know if this was asked already and I apologize for not going back and looking for the answer but does anyone know if Zenne b2 was aged in the same sherry casks as b1? or were they new, to 3f, sherry casks and if new are they the same age as what was used for b1?

Pics below. Thanks for the help.
The unmarked 3F with the round sticker on it is the Kriek (looks like that one is 1999) the other is the Gueuze (which we think is early 90s).

Oh man you're right - I must have mixed in a pic of a 99 Cantillon kriek and with the others. This is why I need you experts on the job! (Got all pics of the lot in a jumble -- a 01 GCB, 03 Vig, 99 Cantillon Kriek, and those two 1990s 3F bottles). So....disregard the 99 one and focus on the others, if y'all have input.Looks like the first one is Cantillon and not 3F![]()
