Speaking of provenance, what are some of the oldest bottles people have that they know the provenance of for sure? Or, even easier, what's the oldest bottle you've bought off the shelf and not gotten from someone else (who maybe got it from someone else who maybe...)?

I know there have definitely been bottles that have had a single owner and sat in a single basement cellar since the 1950s-1960s that have come to light in the last few years, but that's more of a rare and sporadic event than something you expect to see regularly. If you know the source was from some old cellar where it's been since new, you can have a very old bottle with great provenance, but that's not common, especially once the bottle enters trading circles in the new world.

I got a lindemans elderflower on the docket for consuming soon. I never got much elderflower character in mamouche but I recently had an elderflower berliner with vibrant elderflower character that really got my hopes up for this lindemans.

You will be happy with the lindemans. I prefer the mouth feel on Mamouche but the lindemans is good.

Has anyone heard any developments on lambic producers' efforts to slow online sales and/or people bringing their beer back to America is massive quantities? I heard something a few months back, but the only thing I've heard other than that is that girardin and tilquin have requested that sites stop shipping to the states. Any new news here?
