Did you pair it with pizza or red sauce pasta? If not, another bottle is a must! Finally opened a bottle of SpontanBasil last night. As much as I love basil, I was expecting to not like the beer.... but I absolutely love it. Too bad it's so damn expensive, because I probably won't drink it again anytime soon at that price.

THIS. Had it once (thanks Beerontwowheels!), and paired it with some pizza. Was amazing. Would still be tough to pull the trigger on a bottle at $30 though.Did you pair it with pizza or red sauce pasta? If not, another bottle is a must!
French press + shelf-ish gueuze + fresh basilI'll do another bottle where I'll drink half and cook with half, but I really wish it were even half the size and a little easier to stomach the price from time to time. $30 is just too much for that beer, even as much as I liked it.

At least worth a shot...
Any tips on pressing a fresh herb? Closest thing I've done to that is steeped a Berliner in a mint tea... which was ******* delicious.
Maybe muddle it? Pour the first 4ish ounces in, muddle, pour the rest, steep, enjoy.Any tips on pressing a fresh herb? Closest thing I've done to that is steeped a Berliner in a mint tea... which was ******* delicious.

Heard that a store called minks has it for $13
I enjoyed my Basil Lambic, would bang again with Cheeseless pizza in a heartbeat.
I'm resisting this time. Saying to myself over and over again: "I can trade domestically for Vig/St Lam. I'm getting 4 damn boxes next week. I don't want to over-reach."**** i pulled the trigger on the biab split decision black label box, the vig and gcb were too tempting, and the other stuff in the box makes up the value too but damn dropping so much on beer hurts
I think these are two of the crummier tasting boxes Kurt has put together. BiaB keeps making it easier for me not to order.**** i pulled the trigger on the biab split decision black label box, the vig and gcb were too tempting, and the other stuff in the box makes up the value too but damn dropping so much on beer hurts
Not sure you are right about this. Boos and Hommage are more expensive and more rare.Well, the 11 Jan 2016 bottle date RdG is ******* awesome. *******. Awesome. Blows Hommage and Framboos '15 right out of the water, and they're pretty darn good beers, AND I normally prefer 3F to Cantillon.
matedog, we've been drinkin' together an' all, but... **** RARE ;-)Not sure you are right about this. Boos and Hommage are more expensive and more rare.![]()

That Goedele's tho...![]()
One of the best vintages of 3F OG (spoiler alert, 2011-2014 have all been killer vintages that I've had multiples of). Tastes just like 2014 golden blend.
I heard PA is not getting it... Not sure how true this is.Just hit south jersey and still haven't seen it in SE PA yet.
I still have one bottle left in the fridge for a special occasion. It's impossible for me to hold onto lambic longer than 3-6 months. That Goedele's tho...
3F in a Cantillon glass.... You savage.![]()
