Does anyone know why Girardin stopped importing to the US and seems to have gone as far as to instruct online retailers not to ship their products to the US? Dafuq is that ******** about?

I heard they were infected

Was it imports as well? I thought it was just a webstore thing, a la Tilquin.

The good thing is we won't have to worry about all this soon when President Trump builds the wall and puts an end to illegal lambic immigration. There's going to be a door, a big beautiful door and lambic is still welcome to come but it's going to have to be legally, like 3F yellow label. Far too many green labels are coming in and taking up American cellar shelf space.

Leaves more for me

Pretty sure those girardin is turding up the shelf where i'm at. May stop in later today to double check.

Picked up spontanbasil and shaerbeekse creek in athens the other day. Spontabasil probably one of my new favs.

Picked one up as well, but haven't opened it yet and not sure I want to drink that entirely on my own.

Have not seen the Cuvée Kriek anywhere in Athens or Atlanta since we first got it, though. :(

Are the Euro label Hanssens OG with a lot letter and best by date accurate in terms of being bottled 20 years before best by date or are they like the De Cam 2009 labels? SeaWatchman

Hanssens was always dated in Europe with a 20 year best by date, but when it came to the US labels it was always the silly lot numbers that were indecipherable. I've seen more recent labelings of Hanssens like the one you're talking about and I believe they're more accurate now and they're actually making a conscious effort to get the right dates on them.

From HB&B. Not sure what the difference is between this and the regular Cuvée. Possibly additional barrel ageing of some sort.

I tweeted at them about this. They've been pretty responsive on twitter before. Will update if there's a reply.
