Sharing some thoughts: made a biab order and etre order a few days apart last week, both left belgium and arrived to jfk on the same day. I noticed USPS doesn't scan when it arrives and exits customs anymore, it just lets you know when its processed through ISC and then when it gets to your local post office. My etre box came 2 days earlier than the biab box, no problems, but my biab box (which was about twice the size) was held longer. When I finally got the biab box it had a huge deep gash on the bottom (leaving everything exposed) and it was obvious that customs was digging around. Luckily all my bottles were there, haven't fully inspected each for tampering yet. What I think happened was 2 boxes from 2 different sources going to the same address might of looked suspicious for customs so TLDR is don't have 2 orders shipped at the same time.

Hommage 2015 is now sold out at 3F as of yesterday. Golden Blend still available but 1pp. Saw a Hommage on sale in one of the tourist traps in central Brussels (beerplanet) - €120. **** off.

On the plus side I landed a half case of GB 375s and a Mûre 375 amongst others, and had the rabbit at Nuetnigenough with a glass of 2-year unblended Cantillon, so not a bad day out.

Got to do the '07 OGV verse '07 OG yesterday.

OGV was the clear champ in the side by side. Would have been awesome to drink a full pour of the OGV but Dunt decided it was a good idea to throw a chocolate bar like it was a ninja star at my glass knocking it on my lap.

To be honest, I kinda forgot it even happened until I went to throw my pants in the laundry and caught a nice whiff of lambic. #crotchsniffer

What was date for the OGV ie cork type?

It was a Dec bottling of OGV w a synthetcic cork? I thought the Feb bottling was the last w synthetic cork? Or was the OG the synthetic?
I honestly dont know which had that cork. I didnt open them, hell I didnt even look at the bottles until after they were empty. I was handed glasses of each and told one was the vintage and I should guess which was which.

No worries I was just curious if that OGV bottle possibly had a synthetic cork as I thought the Feb bottling in 07 was the last of their usage.

Sorry, must have missed the memo where we cant have fun with comparing OGV vs OG unless it contains exact dates.

Well you just made it sound like there's supposed to be something different between OG and OGV, sorry. Even if they were the same date (2012, for example), to me they're the exact same blend/beer.
