I was hoping to stretch my '14 3F OGs out for a while, but I just can't stop drinking them. One of my favorite vintages.

Anyone crack any '15 OGs?

Are the '14s significantly better than the others? I had a bottle a couple weeks ago that I thought was amazing. Is a year on the '15 not going to get me close?

I believe mine was a Jan. 30, 2014 375mL bottle.
I think its just a great vintage for it but I haven't had that year any fresher though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Think mine was 10/16/14.

Guess I'll find out what I think when I finally grab a '15 bottle

For every person I've seen posting about maxing out a box, you'd think you'd see more people actually drinking the stuff.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dude it's lambic. No one drinks lambic. Just ends up in a barn like a 250 GTO Ferrari for someone to find later.

You mean in the wild? In this thread? Lol.
My other buddy did some work for his masters in Paris/Spain/etc. for 6 weeks. He brought back some stuff to share, and we popped this one recently. This bottle was great, nice musk and bright lemons, significantly better than standard CR.

Nice. I like aged CR so I'm hoping this will knock my socks off out of the gate and maybe a bit down the road, it will knock my balls off.

My OG's were from June or July of '14 and were amazballs as well.

Remember when we kept asking the question of when Armand was going to start using his own lambic in the blends again? Well I think that time is upon is. SeaWatchman any insight on this?

Per lambic.info, 11/27/2013 was the first batch that started using Armand lambic again: http://www.lambic.info/3_Fonteinen_Oude_Geuze

I assume all subsequent batches have at least some 3F lambic in them as well?

I suck at beer.

2013 lambickx kriek. Super puckeringly tart, decent funk, a bit of carb (much more than the '11 lambickx I recently opened), metric fuckton of cherries, and bit of smelly cheese sprinkled on top.

Let me check www.lambic.info for that info.

Actually need to update the 3F OG page with new info from the trip. Oops. There is no longer any wort from Girardin in 3F blends.

You have no idea what a fickle bitch date stampers can be. There is an actual name for them, but still on first coffee and can't remember. Thing has many adjustments and can get out of whack pretty easy. I'm assuming 3f's was malfunctioning that day and they didnt want to shut down bottling because of it.

If they're half as fickle as labeling machines I totally know.

So apparently Mure tilquin hit the states? I know there are reports of it coming in up north. I have asked my bottle shop (which I never bother about limited stuff) that my only request of the year is for them to save me one of these if they get it. What do you guys think my chances of scoring are?

Depends on if you have cool friends or if your state gets it. So far I have had friends in both MN and KY tell me it's there. One did a #gopickitupformebro. We also got Questche w/ Prunes De Namur. No idea if we will get it in NY.

my fear is NY passes since tilquin and quetsche have been turding up shelves for months (but I do know the distributor messed up the last tilquin order by a factor of 10 in sending too much). there are certain stores I avoid cause I know I will buy a bottle

Came and went here in upstate. Granted I bought most of it but I asked about more and was told that's all we were allocated.
