Anyone try this? Thoughts? Is it worth the price? They wanted over $50 in the states.

It's an interesting beer but not with the price of admission in USD IMO.

I just got some #spookygeuze. Some green label 3F OG bottled 10/31/14.

i accidentally sent my halloween st. lam in the last gang bang. meant to hang onto that one. i have a weird thing for bottle dates.:confused:

Ive never had the chance of tasting a gueze or lambic aged any more than 2 years. Does 5, 6, hell even 10+ years really make a difference?

cparles brought out a 3F OG Magnum from 2004 one time and that bottle blew minds. It seemed like a great example of aging for the [much] better. That beer (which was carbed) held its own against the Seasons, A&T, Blauw etc. I never drank '04 fresh (I was too busy drinking Dubra back then), but it seemed evident time had done wonderful things to that Goozie. It reminded me a bit of Golden Blend and a bit of Herfst.

I have been leaving this on the shelf for a while, based on the price tag. Nothing I read made me want to jump in.

I have 2 3F guezes from early 2013, and was wondering if i should just keep em in the back of the cellar and forget about em for a couple more years
Personally I enjoy the sharp, fresh bite of 3F OG. It's what makes it so unique and special for me. I popped a 2012 not too long ago that was too soft for my tastes. The sharpness had dropped off, and the funkiness just wasn't there as much either. This was magnified even more in the 1998 Oude Geuze I opened. I like Cantillon better for long-term aging.

How does the reservation system work?

From the website:

"Reservation (Later Shipment): The items you have ordered will be kept in our warehouse until you have purchased enough to fill a box, you wish to receive them or we have reached the end of the quarter. All items must be shipped by the end of each quarter (20th of Mars, 20th of June, 20th of September and 20th of December) following the purchase date of the first reservation order. Once the order is ready to be shipped, you will receive a PayPal invoice for the shipping costs."

I'll upload my excel sheet tomorrow if anyone wants it. Calculates weight for ya and let's you know when you go to next shipping level and what your $/ounce is for the shipment overall.

I'd be interested in this. I thought I had a full box because whenever I added anything the shipping stepped up to the next level, but I guess I was wrong...probably shouldve tried adding some smaller things

No problem. I'll do it tomorrow. Probably isn't 100% accurate but has worked for my 3 shipments so far so I have confidence in it.

If you guys had to choose one lambic you felt was totally underrated which would you say? My personal pick is regular ole tilquin. It's better than the last LPG I had.
