My locals are getting shipments in. I will happily C+S for you if I'm able to get out and get you some stuff (baby will limit some runs). I don't think GB hit anywhere, but we got OG, A&G mags, and the new hommage batches.
Appreciate it, but already ordered through Etre and have to save my cash for my upcoming HF bday trip in April. Happy to C&S for you when I go there.

I wish I had any way of getting Golden Blend...I refresh multiple sites repeatedly throughout every day and have been able to buy one bottle total in the past four years (since the 2014 375ml batch that was easy to find). Have passed on Hommage plenty of times in that same period because I don’t care about it, maybe I should’ve bought those bottles and tried to trade them for GB.
I have only ever traded for GB, and I am currently hoarding a 2014, 2016, and 2018 honey GB to do a vertical one day.

I had the foresight to buy a whole lot of 2011 and 2014 375mls when they were shefies so still have about a case of each but don’t have and haven’t had any batch more recent than the December 2014 75cl. I’ll get lucky some day.

One of my biggest regrets was passing up GB 2011 for $14/bottle at HF back in the day. I scoffed at the price tag and then bought my limit 4pp Anna and Arthur in the retail shop. D'oh!

lol I was just thinking how I regret that I didn’t buy a bunch more at $25/bottle. It’s so good.

I guess I've been lucky finding them. I've managed to get 3-4 of the GB honing blends. When I tried the first bottle I made sure I found more though. It's amazing.

This has me excited to try the two bottles of Golden Blend I recently acquired. Never have had Hommage, but also grabbed two bottles (one being the biome version)- not my favorite style, but figured worth trying (not sure I needed two).

If anyone wants some (expensive) cost and label golden blend, post a humorous gif and a blurb about a memorable lambic experience you've had, and I'll pick a winner or few based upon local availability and the amount of interest. I've seen 750mL bottles around SF for $60-70 range, and I know a guy with a cellar sale with similar pricing for 14s and 16s. Thanks for playing :)

...if you 'win' and want other shelf 3F that's cool too

How long does a beer like La Vie Est Belge need to sit after bottling typically? SeaWatchman

I ask because Cantillon just posted that they did a bottling of La Vie Est Belge, and I'm praying that this isn't the bottle that will be included in the BXL BeerFest beer packs that I passed on...

not interested in the GB, but a funny story about drinking in around 2014 with jbeezification and some crew after our normal sunday afternoon share got way out of hand we ended up at the house of the owner of the best beer store in Houston, to keep drinking and pull from his vast cellar with a couple other degenerates. he had all the windows and doors open in his house and another friend was searing steaks on a flat iron smoking up the whole place and then out came cognac shots. then there was balut. then jbeezification chugged a 2011 gb and got the sad regrets afterwards, but everything was fine after this other dude opened a b1 db huna and cuvee'd a 2011 hommage i opened with it, and it was pretty damn good for my hammered self. we were obliterated after like 15 hours going hard and had to call jbeezification's then gf (now wife) to pick us up at like 3am on sunday night (when i had to work at 7am monday), and while i was literally carrying him out we tripped and i smashed my face on the driveway busting up my lips and knocking my right side canines and three other teeth loose. he barfed on himself in the front seat of his own car while his gf was driving people home... and i got in at like 5am and was fairly certain my wife was going to leave me, but she made me walk the dogs and wallow in my own dumbassnesss. our wives have bonded over our idiocy a couple of times.

I’d guess very little chance that that is the beer in the packs.

A while, IMO. Two years at least. For some reason bottling really breaks up a lot of the flavors from the barrel but they tend to come back around. I still think the 27.12.2016 bottling is superior than the 15.02.2016 bottling by a good bit.

There’s a lot more this time around though.

No limit but ouch on those prices.

Well that's good to hear since I got lucky and snagged one on that La Vie Est Solidaire online sale. Doubt I'll ever be fortunate enough to have more for a comparison, but that won't be for a lack of trying!
