Ingesting. I’m just trying to establish what some people’s thresholds are on these. For example, I feel like these guys are way off base and I’d never buy from them. I think that creates a bit of a problem further upstream for distributors, importers, and producers in the end as they’re pumping more out and it’s not moving as quickly or as easily anymore.

Has anyone opened a Tilquin Groseille Rouge lately? I've had two 375s and a 750 in the last 3 months, and I haven't liked it at all. I'm a huge Tilquin fan and love red currants, and this one has missed with plastic phenols and occasionally what I can only describe as indole, or fecal aroma.

I have a good amount more of this beer and will probably lay them down for a while, but wanted to see if anyone else has had similar or different experience with the beer. Cheers

I've yet to have a fruited Tilquin beer that impressed me. I don't know what it is about them, but I'm consistently underwhelmed. The gueuze is great, but I feel zero need to chase down all the others.

I thought Pinot Noir b1 and Pinot Gris were both fantastic Other than that, I agree with you

I had a bottle of mure, not sure which batch, but it tasted like 100% cantillon wort and I liked it a lot. Also thought pinot noir was good but not that complex. More refreshing. Haven't opened a gris yet. Agreed that gueuze is their best offering (and squared). Banana has been the best fuited one to date for sure.

The 375 I opened was definitely lacking any kind of currant in nose or taste.

Pinot Gris is one of the best fruited lambics I've ever had.

Agreed! This was one of the standouts at a tasting last year.

I guess it's a silly question to ask if Pinot Gris or Pinot Noir are still on shelf anywhere? One of the downsides of living under a rock and only ever checking Belgian websites for new beer is you miss out on Tilquin releases.

I know parts of MI got a drop of Gris last week from a page I follow. Doubt it sits on any shelves for long.

Managed to snag a bottle of hommage and a mag of OG today. Apparently I was following someone to both stores I went to, as both sold out of golden blend within 15 minutes of me getting to the store

Agree on the Pinot Gris. Would love to get my hands on more of that. Incredible beer.

I found Groseille to be just ok. It was my least favourite out of the Gris / Noir / Groseille triumvirate release last year.

Had a draft Mure in November and, while I have been underwhelmed with Mure in the past, this one was fantastic. Really fruit forward, nicely balanced acidity and Tilquin Funk.
