My aforementioned Etre box arrived today; never received tracking info but thankfully USPS was smart enough to make me go pick it up rather than leaving it with nobody home.

L'Internationale was on Etre??? I also ordered some Nevel in my last box, super excited to get to them.

I think there were 24 bottles originally and it's been up for almost a month now, I think you should be fine.

This L'internationale blend sounds absolutely crazy, it was coolshipped and blended with 2 year lambic. Gonna be really hard not to dome that one immediately.

Say what you will about Etre. They don't mess around with the packaging.
 
Those fuckers lied to me with their misleading name?

When i was out there last november meeting everyone and securing the next round of Publican Lambic they tasted me out on it, and i was all "That's galangal, not ginger." And they were all "....uh...how do you know that?" and i was all "that's kinda my job." and i strongly suggested they put "galangal" on their marketing materials going forward.

You can find press releases that say both: "fresh ginger" in some and galangal in others.

Has anyone else tried the de cam gooikoorts yet?

I had one last night and I still dont know what to think of it. The carbonation on it was a bit excessive making it all mineral laden and carbonic at first that gave way to something that seemed more like a saison than a geuze. Peppercorns, clove, phenols and even some bready grain. It was tart and had some citrus character about it but as it warmed up, some fusel alcohol came out along with green apple.

It wasnt bad but it certainly was not what I was expecting.

jtclockwork and i drank one last week and the carb was definitely a little excessive as well which i felt muted a lot of what was going on. but its funny you say it was saison like, the Gooikoorts we had wasn't like that but the bottle of Rhubarb/Apricot was all saison! Framboise Vlier on the other hand!! i absolutely loved it!

Haven’t opened my first one yet but fingers crossed because I bought, um, a lot of them.
 
If you don’t like it I’ll gladly that em off your hands. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Don’t think I’ve ever seriously considered getting rid of any De Cam bottle—they’ve long been my favorite brewery (well, blender, he doesn’t technically brew there). I just have very high hopes for this and want it to be more than pretty good.

Mine was an overcarbed mess. Really was expecting a lot more but this blend is miles behind the most recent golden blend.
 
Gooikoorts with all the initial rave reviews... have Europeans learned to hypeboi?

I really wanna try it someday, I wish ginger was more common in beer. I loved Sourtooth Tiger from Rare Barrel and Ginger & Juice from Jack's Abby (hasn't been brewed in years though).

Forest and Main has a great BA saison with ginger if you're after more ginger ticks.

I wish I had picked up more bottles of it. Dont know why I doubted it since all their bottles are great but BA ginger beer scared me.
 
Anyone know if the recent OG magnum from 3F is supposed to hit distribution, or will it only be sold at the Droom? (I just saw a US store post it on their IG feed, but hadn't seen anything else about it. Curious if it's a legit import.)

I have no idea if we’re referring to the same batch but my local spot had OG and A&G magnums that just came in on the shelf today which were distributed legitimately.
