I've got some hops that have been growing for a few years, however I'm not sure what species it is. Are the attached photos sufficient to identify them?

As for the aroma, it's difficult to tell, but it seems to be a bit spicy? No hints of citrus, aside from the usual hop smell. Although, I'm not so confident in my ability to detect these faint smells, so I could be wrong.

I appreciate if you have any suggestions or ideas!

It's almost impossible to identify hops varieties by appearance of the plant and cones, and smell, sorry. :(

yours look beautiful but i think they all look the same on the vine.

i have heard the only way to tell is to brew with them to see what you get. make small batches till you figure out how bitter they are ( and flavorful)

Where were the beginnings of that plant obtained?
I'm not entirely sure unfortunately. I live in BC, Canada, so it's probably from somewhere around here.

Ahh, I didn't realize. Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks! I suppose if it's not reasonable to identify them by smell or appearance, I'll have to do just this!

Appreciate all your suggestions.
