b1, 2011. This is definitely at its sweet spot right now. Reminds me of LPK '08 with how perfect the fruit and tart cherry balance was. Intense is the right word for this beer for sure. Last bottle :(

Is this the batch that's still sitting around because nobody wants to pay $20+ for it? If so, there's a shop down the street with a shelf of it if you want some more haha

It probably is more likely the b2, 2014 as b1 wasn't sold in the states when released. But next time you head in that store, definitely let me know of the year and price!

I don't know about "when released", but I have bought b1 intense red in the states off shelf. In fact, I believe I know of one store that may still actually have a couple 2012 bottles.

Edit: I just read lambic.info and I think I get the "when released" part.
"Intense Red was released both in Europe and North America starting in late 2013 and received label approval for distribution in the United States on August 24, 2013.[1]"

Got a 2007 Iris with a very faint (almost scrubbed off) bottle date of september 2011 - is this accurate?

Blind tasted '15, then '12, then A&G 375s with a friend who guessed all bottles correctly, whereas I had mis-guessed the '15/'12.

10/'15 was a bit mustier than 5/'12 which tasted brighter/younger. I wondered if this could be due to a higher proportion of 3 year in the '15 blending? A&G had a creamy yogurt thing that grew on me as I drank it, much less mineral/sharp than most OGs I've had and certainly unique. Fun experiment. Would appreciate any insights on tasting notes or blending info if anyone is aware.

This sounds so different from my A&G experience....and I love that! With a few batches already and so many bottles, I had hoped there might be some strong variation and this sounds like that might be the case!
 
Anyone know why some cantillon beers on ratebeer can't be checked in? Some are listed as aliases but to my understanding are unique beers?
 
The Boon/Mikkeller thread where they wouldn't even listen to what Frank Boon had to say about the two beers? That was a good read o_O
Yeah that was, but I think it gave rise to another thread about lambic aliasing in general. Part of the L.I goal was to un-RateBeer lambic.

I'll be looking for that thread. Should be a good read.
