There sure are a lot of lambics these days. I see a bunch of homebrewers making them, I have to wonder what makes them decide to call it a lambic?

Can I just throw some lacto and brett in a beer and call it a lambic? I'm going to. I might make a lambic stout this weekend.

I call mine Lambics because I use the same wheat/malt base, aged hops and I cultured my yeast from unblended lambics. Not really a lambic but tastes damn close and ZFG.

I love you man, but don't you use DME? You're like the poster child for not calling homebrew lambic.

1. purchase assorted lambic bag in a box
2. insert random fermentable adjuncts as priming sugar
3. fill dem bottles and apply catchy label

Can I add Stakeuli Artisnaal bbd to lambic info now or wut?
How dare you make fun of the god-tier liquid known as LAMBIC. Lambic is serious biz...didn't you know?

Will probably turn out better than those OWA bottles TBH.

Surprised no one has ever brought up the idea of doing an official TB.com lambic blend similar to the bourbon barrel picks.

Buy a few lambic boxes online>blend by committee or have blending contest with voting for winner>age a small portion on fruit>have one of the talented homebrewers on here bottle it up>sell TB goozie and TB fruit lambic>profit........

Wouldn't that fall under sale of homebrew, therefore BATFE jurisdiction, ergo federal-ass pounding charges?

Most lambic producers don't take kindly to this sort of thing and actively discourage it. That's the reason why you can no longer buy Cantillon or 3F lambic in bags or other containers anymore. People were/are blending it at home and selling it for profit.

Or do some (more) schmoozing with Armand, Pierre and/or JVR to make the "unblended" lambic/goozie version of the 4 Roses TB bourbon.

Understood, makes sense. Remove the "profit" part of my post and replace with "everyone chips in together and prebuys the lambic". So no selling of the bottles like skrip suggested. Although no Loon or 3F in this imaginary blend = sadface.
